Developments…

In the past months we have graduated from a single training-centre NGO to a full-ship servicing two major activities for the time being.

Approved by NSDC:
Tiksna has been approved by the Board of National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) as an affiliated partner. We have already started with a Tiksna Learning Partner model under various skill-development projects across the country. Under this model, we are launching various certification courses under various Sector Skill Councils viz., Medical Sales Representative (MSR), Phlebotomy Technician, General Duty Assistant & Assistant Physiotherapist, Mobile Repairing and many more, and are working on a host of other occupations such as those involved with home electronics, micro-finance, banking and other financial services such as mutual funds advisory & mutual fund distribution, and craft-based services such as tailoring etc.

Capacity Building Workshops:
We also conduct Train-The-Trainer and Instructional Design & Content Writing workshops, and conduct this regularly. We have done public workshops on this in Mumbai, and are planning these across the country.

Investor Awareness Programs (IAPs):
We have been delivering IAPs in the Finance Sector, and have been delivering close to 200-250 awareness programs month-on-month for asset management companies and stock exchanges. We operate through our implementation teams. We have to our score card more than 4000+ IAPs delivered in 100+ locations. This program is being done as per a mandate of Ministry of Finance (MoF) & SEBI, under the objective of Financial Inclusion.

Tie-up with TISS:
We have gotten into a tie-up with the School of Vocational Education of Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) to take vocational education in the Healthcare sector. This initiative is a joint one by UGC & TISS to take forward the Community College model to drive the new & innovative bachelors (Bachelors of Vocation – B.Voc), diploma and certificate programs across the country. We are keeping in mind the NSQF levels (1 through 7) as a guideline for competency development.
